Please Just Don't Leave Me Alone

Women need to know that they are loved. Although there are many ways to do this, men seem to believe that women will know they are loved just because their guy is around. Men think that is enough. It is not. However, men believe that if their girl respects them then it is enough for them to just be there—to be in the next room and spend an entire day without talking to her much, if at all. The problem with that is the girl gets lonely. She starts to fear that she isn’t important. She feels invisible. But she can’t say anything about it because she knows if she does then her man will say that she is being selfish, immature, and disrespectful. So she stays quiet and lets the feelings eat her up inside. 

When a woman truly loves her man, she would give anything up to be with him. Her desires… Her goals… Her passions… But the biggest of all is her dreams. She will give up anything he asks her to just so that she can keep him around. She’ll even drop everything she is doing or interrupt her sleep because that is when he wants to spend time with her—as little and attention divided as she knows that time will be. That doesn’t change the fact, however, that she still feels alone and without purpose. But she still says nothing to truly share how she feels. She doesn’t have the courage to tell him how her heart has broken into a million pieces, how she feels alone, how she feels unwanted, and most of all unloved.  

Most women just want their man to make her his number one priority. To give up things for her. To do something small for her regularly so that she knows she still matters. It doesn’t have to be expensive. It could be as simple as calling her from work every day to ask how her day is going and to say you love her and making her dinner one night instead of her always making it. It could be watching that chick-flick that she has been wanting to watch with her even though you hate those kinds of movies and cuddling with her while you watch. It could be cooking dinner together and having a small food fight while doing so. It could be walking up behind her when she has her back to you and giving her a sincere hug or a gentle massage (or both.) It could be taking her to bed and giving her the best tour of the world that you can give her and reigniting the desire and passion that she lost. 

However, the one thing men must not do is nothing. Men talk to her, let her know that you want her to be happy and give her the opportunity to talk to you about how she really feels without getting defensive about it. Because, if you do, she will never want to share her truest feelings with you again. And, if you love her, that isn’t what you want to happen, is it?
